Now a days any junior, if they ask me about GC process, I ask them what is the law firm of the company and find out how company handles GCs. Like, do they file at the last moment? do they get into a holding pattern and delay everything etc? One of the questions I directly ask people who seek my advice is , is the company's law firm fragomen? If they say yes, I ask them to talk to their manager and stay away from fragomen and change their jobs if its a slow process.

I would like to shout this issue from the rooftops since it would appear that nobody appreciates how awful this situation is. IV do not have aging out on their agenda, nobody does, only those affected by it. If the delays get long enough waiting for priority dates the horizon might change for many many more employment based people. Did not make video for youtube, to be honest do not know how to and am not sure I could make the message short and sweet since my emotions run away with me when I start talking about his issue.

I have applied for EAD for myself and my wife (receipt date June 3rd). Wife EAD is laready approved on 06/27 (no LUD at all) and I see a LUD on mine on 6/12.
Hope they can wait till monday for my application atleast.

factoryman, looks like chlei or whatever has wrong information. i guess he/she is presuming "Schedule A applicants are entitled to up to 50,000 �recaptured� numbers." even now.
chlei or whatever, that is not true. those 50000 expired jan 2007 or sometime around and i agree with factoryman that we must stop them from geting our unused visas again this year. i have written to some senators listed on HLG blog

Hi, we recently applied for COS to H-1B at California Service Center on May 26th under premium processing. So far we have not received even the receipt notice, neither have the checks been cashed. Just wanted to check with everyone if this is normal, or did they misplace the petition?

Even Bernie Sanders has one more coming (Yes, it is related to H1B). But Cantwell amendment is not there in the list of 20.

I agree with you, my first reaction too was that this is practically impossible. Bill Gates was suggesting the proposal of "Instant GC" for anyone who completes their Master's degree in US. So may be some day this will become a reality.
I dont know how they are going to deal with immediate family members in that scenario. This does not sound like a bad idea but not everyone is lucky enough to afford doing their Master's in US. A number of them come on H-1B visas. Bill Gates was not against H-1B program.
I think there is a general consensus that H-1B program is being abused by employers. IEEE is suggesting to wrap it up while others are suggesting to keep the program but fix it, by providing the flexibility based on the current market needs and enforcing tough monitoring on the employers.
I must agree that the document is a perfect representation of how the H-1B program is being abused, which is unfortunate!

I got a relief. So since I ma on EAD and on I-485 status is it ok to take a break for 3 months and then start the next job. So this break will not affect my status right.

I have a good experience with them. They have filed all my applications without unnecessary delays and they were also proactive in informing me about the visa bulletin reversal at the end of June.

While it is terrible on the part of USCIS to do so, but I believe, we have an opportunity to at least get a clear picture of what is going on in USCIS.

To be frank there was momemtum and energy missing in DC and other states before the rally! I think there are many ignorant, many not willing and many not up to giving a day!
Have we tried to educate them about their situation today ..
IF many of us have been able to file I485 in JULY then its 'coz of IV and ONLY IV!!
If we stress on IV's acheivements .. eg. flower campaign & San jose Rally and outcome of these..Reversal of Visa Bulletin then I think people will try to understand..
Tell you what people with PD in the last 2 yrs have not shown up in big numbers! Only with PD as late as 2001,02,03,04,05 have been able to evaluate the seriuosness of the whole GC thing & able to visualise the waiting frustrations!! Lets bring in more of the recent yrs PD people so that they know HOW LUCKY they are Just 'coz of IV!!

My Labor was approved and I-140 pending.
My PD is Feb, 2006.
Can I apply for 485 now.
My both daughters are in India.
If I can apply now then I will have to bring my daughters immdtly to U.S.
