I just Spoke to sentor Specter office: 202-224-4254. They were very supportive. I spoke about the revised Visa bulltien and the effect of losing nurses. They were very sympathatic . I added i know how the sentor support immigration.

I understand from your signature that you Receipt date is 7/2/07. was your case transferred to Vermont or something and transferred back to TSC. Do you know what was the Receipt date mentioned in the Transfer Notice. I am just trying to guess when they may come to my case. My receipt date for 485 was from Vermont and is 7/31/07. But then it was transferred back to Texas and this has a Receipt date of 10/1/07. I am just trying to find out which Receipt date will be considered to pre-adjudicate my application. Thanks.
I do not know if USCIS is going with receipt date or any procedure. My Receipt date is June 27, 2007. Notice date is August 9, 2007. My case is not touched either till now.

This bulletin seems to have a more-detailed-than-usual write-up on PD movement and projections. It'll be interesting to see how ppl interpret the comments from Dept of State regarding projections.

Do you mean to say, the employer just sends a letter with a signature and LIN numbers to revoke and USCIS revokes them?
In that case does USCIS send a confirmation of revocation of all the requested LIN numbers to be revoked? Or it is just a one-sided handshake?
Yes, I think it is just a letter.
Just like say, you do not want your Green card - you send a covering letter to USCIS and enclose the green cards. They shred the cards and process the letter update their records.
You can also send a letter to USCIS to withdraw your 485 - they will be happy to do so.
My dad had a expired green card (in the 70s) and recently when he went to consulate to get a toursit visa - he presented his expired green card (30+ years old) and they took him aside and completed some paperwork and took the expired green card and said they gonna process the return of expired green card - this is normal paperwork and procedure they follow.
What baffles me is - they follow all the laws perfectly - but when it comes to beneficiaries, we see all sorts of issues? I really do not think it is a training issue - this could be something else - maybe I am just speculating

You are right, Ramesh, sadly people have time to check for Bill updates and get their spirits down with amendment removal news but no time to get more friends to join or contribute. Hi Friends, I went to DMV PA (Bridgevile) to renew my drivers license recently. They are not accepting original EAD/ AP, copy of 485 receipt plus employer letter. They are asking for original 485 receipt. Unfortunately my ex-employer did not give the original receipt.

However, the reason is that the most skilled graduates from India (and China) do not stick around for long there, and are actually to be found here! Without checking the raw data it is impossible to comment on Mr Wadhwa's assertion regarding ease of filling positions in US vs India/China. (For instance, does his data on US companies include positions (in US) filled by immigrants or does it include only positions filled by US born citizens?)

(Remember, you have to exclude all foreign students from US universities and only include US born citizens in the population of American engineers. Why? Because all foreign students would need H1 to work here, just the same as a student in a Indian/Chinese university. To avoid 'double counting' basically) So how do we compare apples to apples? How do we compare "number of good engineers in US" vs "number of good engineers in China/India"? It is very hard to do that via a survey, if not impossible. The discrepancy is due to the fact that you are looking at visa bulletin from 2 different month. The bulletin on State department's website is for September and the one on Mumbai consulate's website is supposed to be for October.
Please help me understand this:

Alright Guys, Let's ignore this Dard-e-disco guy he doesn't deserve a second of our time. To answer your question, one thing atleast USCIS can give us is, Release data like How many applications they have already received from Major Green Card Seeking countries and in which EB categories. All this data they would have entered in their computers, They can easily run these kind of reports, I'm sure they'll be having some Data Warehousing softwares. So atleast everybody of know where we stand today and stop predicting cut-off dates etc. etc.
They can also make sure they send our APs and EADs in less than 90 days....
As Ron Gotcher observed, they are still using DOS ( not department of state ! ) programs .

So if the pattern of last 2 years also holds this year, there will be slow month or 2 month movement until the last quarter (july/aug/sept) and then boom-bada-boom massive movement of maybe a couple of years. In that last quarter its all hit or miss, some 20-30% of people who get current will get GC (like what happened last year) then again back to 1 year of creep and crawl... hopefully by then we get some form of immigration legislation to clear this backlog.
