New filing fees were applicable from 7/30. Do all applications(485/131/765) whose PD is current need to filed with the new fees starting from 7/30? Or till 8/17 it can be filed with the old fees?

Can we apply for I - 485 without having the I -140 receipt notice.What is the work around so that I dont miss the Aug 17,2007 date for filing I -485.Are there any chances that my I - 45 will be rejected, or will I ge an RFE.
My I - 140 was applied during the 2nd week of July, 2007.

My friend John Lamb in Nashville has had this idea for a while. I've got some questions/comment to understand your situation
1. How do you know it is stuck in security check? What is your attorney's suggestion
For regular EB applications you can apply for 485 when priority date is current
2. EAD is generally adjudicated within 90 days
3. She should have a visa of her own - if she cannot be your dependant

Here is my situation, I will file for I-485 on July 1st.....but on July 21 I have to leave U.S....and my question is:
Can you leave the country as soon as you filed for I-485? or you have to wait for I-485 reciept?...I know it's mandatory to stay in U.S at the time of filing for I-485.....And is it true that after you file for I-485 you can leave U.S without any problems?
Please advise me.

I have a pending I- 485 in EB2 and My spouse has a pending 485 in EB3 since 2007. We both are using EAD and on AOS. We got married recently, and my PD became current now.
What is the best way to make use of this situation and add my spouse to my pending 485?
Do we have to file another fresh I - 485 or is there a way to link his EB3 485 application with mine?
If I have to file a new 485, what are the documents needed apart from Marriage certificate, Since my spouse is already on EAD and working, Do I still have to send affidavit of support, my pay slips, w2, EVL etc.? Do we have to send medicals again? Kindly clarify my questions. Help is appreciated.

I renewed EAD twice using e-file. So far it was all smooth. Very first time I had paper filed and went for FP-ing. Since then renewed twice for myself and my wife - no FPing...got the card smoothly. Again this is USCIS .. someone might have had completely different experience...

Visitor's visa for my parents expired recently (it was a 5 yr VISA & they visited here 3 times and returned within 6 months each time) and they want to re-apply for a visa. My question is - Do I still need to send in the Document of Support, Employer and Bank letter or they can re-apply without these documents? On the safer side, I am sending the documents but in my view there should not be a need for the support documents...Anyone in similar boat?

My first H1 was from "Company A" back in 2001. Company A also sponsored me for my green card. In 2005 I transferred my H1 to Company B, however my green card was still sponsored with Company A. I have an approved I-140 and I am waiting on my PD to become current. My H1 is suppose to get renew in August of 2007, which will be through Company B.
I have heard that after 6 years renewal, your current H1 company should have sponsored you for green card in order to get the 7th year H1. And as you can see in my case that my previous company has sponsored me for my
H1 and not my current company.
Can someone put some light on this issue.

Hi All,
One of my friend has been working for a desi company for 6 months and now is moving to another company.
In the desi company offer letter there is no information regarding leave encashment and it says that he is eligible for one day leave per month.
There is no statement regarding leave encashment policy in the offer letter
So if he resigns now will he get any leave encashment or is there any virginia state laws governing the leave encashment

I had applied for an EAD and AP renewal in April 09. While I received my EAD and AP at the end of April 09, the EAD case in CRIS was still showing "Initial Decision".
Today I got a random email from CRIS saying that my EAD case is in post-decision activity and that they mailed my card in April 09 (DUH!!!).
When I go to check my cases in CRIS, my 485, EAD, AP from last year and AP from this year all show a soft LUD on 12/3/10.
Does this mean I have been preadjudicated? Or is this just a random event? Or does it mean dark clouds ahead???????
